PET BED

When designing the Pet Bed, my primary focus was solving the common issues with cleaning and reassembling typical pet beds, which often have cumbersome covers and poor washability. My solution was a two-part system that offers several key benefits:

Easy-to-remove, independently washable covers for better cleaning
Simple assembly and reassembly
Interchangeable covers aligned with Ruggable’s business model

The project involved technical challenges such as precise cover fit, foam tolerances, efficient packing, and the development of new testing methods to ensure durability against chewing, scratching, and accidents.

I also led a focus group to validate the design and gather customer insights, which informed key product decisions.

Finally, I addressed an overlooked issue: pet beds are often unattractive. I set out to change that.
